Suspect in Tavern & Table armed robbery pleads guilty to federal charges

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) – One of the suspects accused of robbing a popular Mount Pleasant restaurant has pleaded guilty to federal charges.

Joshua Olando Washington, 26, is accused of robbing Tavern and Table restaurant at gunpoint along with Brandon Daniels, a former employee of the restaurant.

Police say the men came into the restaurant while employees were closing and demanded money from the manager.

That manager, Chris Dixon, was shot during the incident.

Dixson’s friends told News 2 the bullet cracked his spine and pierced his colon, kidney and liver. He has since returned to work after a lengthy recovery.

Both face several state charges including attempted murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
