CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Hotel Task Force will meet for the first-time Friday.
The task force was formed by Mayor Tecklenburg to facilitate the creation of a proposal to better control hotel growth on the Charleston peninsula.
It’s made up of city council members, neighborhood leaders, hotel representatives, preservation groups and others.
The group expects to make its recommendations to control hotel growth on the peninsula to city council by May 28th.
