SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – The Parks and Recreation Department of Summerville is working with Clemson University to develop a five-year master plan for future parks and facilities in the town.

Summerville and Clemson released an online survey for people to express what they want to see in their parks over the next five to ten years.

“Staff and council, we have ideas on things that we would like to see,” said Doyle Best, the manager of the Parks and Recreation Department. “But we want to make sure that we are touching base with the public and doing things that they want to see since ultimately it will be their facilities.”

The survey is available until March 3. After that, the university and the parks department will hold meetings on the plan in March, before presenting it to Town Council.
