Traffic safety check results in 34 citations and 12 arrests in Georgetown County

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and officers from nine other jurisdictions conducted a traffic safety stop Friday evening on North Fraser Street, Georgetown.

The 15th Judicial Circuit’s Law Enforcement Network operation resulted in 34 citations being issued and 12 arrests, including two for driving under the influence and four for narcotics violations. 

Authorities stated that during the operation they seized 41.6 grams of marijuana, 64.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, .2 grams of cocaine, two dosage units of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, and two dosage units of other pills.
