CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- The Hope Walk is battling domestic violence in South Carolina.
The Palmetto State continues to rank in the top five states in the country where women are killed by men. State Representative Wendell Gilliard, Project Unity USA, and REALMAD (Real Men Against Domestic Violence) are working with the community to make a statement and reduce domestic violence rates.
On September 15th at 8 AM, the group will gather at the Charleston entrance to the Ravenel Bridge and walk in protest of domestic violence. Victims of domestic violence will also be in attendance to share their stories of survival.
