NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – System updates planned for Wednesday in the McKewn Plantation subdivision have been postponed.

The Dorchester County Water & Sewer Department planned to turn off water service for more than 241 homes in the North Charleston neighborhood in order to perform some system upgrades.

The outage would have started at 10:00 a.m. and lasted for about two hours.

Shortly after making the outage announcement, Dorchester County’s POI, Tiffany Norton said that work had been postponed but did not give a reason why.

A new notice will be issued when those updates are rescheduled.
