CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Dozens of Verizon customers across the tri-county area reported service issues Wednesday afternoon.
Many social media users tweeted their frustrations at the provider, some saying service has been down for three hours.
The City of Charleston also reported cell phone and test service issues for many city employees.
A spokesperson for Version confirmed the outage and said a connectivity issue was at fault for the interruption.
They said engineers are aware of the issue and are working with their vendor partners to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
The issue was reportedly resolved just before 4:00 p.m.
