Victim bit in the face by dog at Wescott dog park in N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – On February 16, at approximately 1:28 p.m., authorities were dispatched to the dog park in Wescott Park on Dorchester Road.

Officers met with the father of the victim, who stated that the victim had already been taken from the scene to seek medical treatment. The incident report stated that while in the dog park the suspect’s dog had raced from across the area, then attacked his daughter by biting her in the face.

Authorities stated that the incident occurred within the dog park that there was no running at large offense. 

After meeting with the suspect, he identified himself as the owner of the offending dog.  The incident report stated that the dog’s last rabies vaccination was on January 18, 2019.
