Weather-related death reported in Georgetown County

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD)- One person died in Georgetown County early Sunday morning in a weather-related incident.

According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) a pickup truck was traveling south on Plantersville Road around 2:30 AM. The truck drove into standing water in the roadway, lost control, and overturned into a ditch. Two people were transported to Conway Medical Center and one was pronounced dead at the scene.

This brings the total number of South Carolina deaths related to Hurricane Florence to four.
