Wild Side celebrates environmental protection and conservation

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCBD) – On Saturday, November 3rd, the South Carolina Environmental law Project hosts the 9th Annual Wild Side fundraiser at Hobcaw Barony in Georgetown. The event is from 5 PM to 8:30 PM.

The event celebrates the work and recent success in protecting South Carolina’s natural resources. The keynote speaker this is year is New York Times bestselling author, Lowcountry resident and active conservationist Mary Alice Monroe

Specially commissioned pieces from local artists Sharon Turner, Lee Arthur and Mary Edna Fraser are showcased as well.

The Wild Side fundraiser was created in 2010 to honor the South Carolina Environmental Law Project founder Jimmy Chandler. The event is a vital source of financial support for the non-profit group.
