MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) – It’s the end of an era for wing lovers in Mount Pleasant.
Wild Wing Café on Wednesday announced the closure of their Coleman Boulevard location after 22 years.
“Even though we are closing on Coleman Boulevard, the Lowcountry is our home and we will continue to explore our options to open more locations throughout Charleston,” restaurant officials said in a Facebook post.
We are told they are closing the locations because of a lease issue.
In true Wild Wing style, the restaurant will go out with a bang. They will celebrate 22 years of service on Saturday, December 8th with live music, prizes, specials and a good time.
The party will continue Sunday, December 9th after the Mount Pleasant Christmas Parade with a “post-parade party”.
“So to all the Wild ones out there: The ones who grew up eating smiley fries and mac n cheese. The ones who checked out their friends’ bands every Friday and Saturday night. The ones who celebrated birthdays, graduations and tons of family time with us. The ones that couldn’t skip a 2fer Tuesday. The ones that spent countless hours at the corner of the patio bar with friends. The ones that caught every Carolina and Clemson game with us. To ALL the ones who called Wild Wing on Coleman their home away from home for 22 years: THANK YOU!”
It’s not goodbye forever, Wild Wing Café still operates locations in North Charleston and in Mount Pleasant at the Market at Oakland.
