Local soldier accused of murder in Myrtle Beach

A U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Bragg is accused of killing a woman in Myrtle Beach.

Chandler Dunmeyer, 19, of Summerville, is charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of 20-year-old Colee Muirhead.

According to a report by News 2's sister station WBTW, Muirhead's father was in the courtroom Wednesday during a hearing for Dunmeyer.

Colin Muirhead does not believe his daughter was involved in a relationship with Dunmeyer.

"Colee wasn an amazing soul," Muirhead said.  "She's a loving person.  Loved her family.  Loved her friends.  Was she perfect?  No, none of us are."
