Changes to the City of Charleston’s public car ordinance will be discussed tonight, May 20th, at a public hearing from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. in the auditorium of the City of Charleston Visitor Center, downtown Charleston.
Taxi, Uber and limo drivers will have new rules that take effect on June 1st. The meeting is to explain the new ordinance that drivers will operate under while conducting business in the city.
Staff members from the city will be at the meeting to answer questions regarding the new rules.
The ordinance was passed at the City Council meeting in April.
