CNN is suing the white house, claiming that banning reporter Jim Acosta violates the constitution.

The secret service took away Acosta’s white house pass last Wednesday after a heated exchange during a news conference.

When Acosta asked President Trump questions, the president told him “enough” and told him to give up the microphone.

When Acosta refused to hand over the microphone, a white house staffer tried to grab it from him.

The White House says that’s why it took away Acosta’s pass.

CNN filed a lawsuit in district court today, claiming banning Acosta violates the constitutional rights to Freedom of the Press and due process.

The White House has not yet responded to NBC’s request for comment on the lawsuit.
