Kara Johnson, 25, of Denver, was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.

Deputies said the incident happened on Highway 73 near the Highway 16 intersection. Deputy C. Camp, the officer injured, was traveling Highway 73 in Denver when he saw the two females ‘fighting in the middle of the road.’
During that altercation, officials said Johnson got in a car and sped away, striking Camp. She’s then accused of returning to the scene and attempting to strike the officer again.
