Sheriff confirms deputy, K9 hospitalized after crash in Cherokee Co.

CHEROKEE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Cherokee County Sheriff said a deputy and a K9 were hospitalized after a crash Sunday morning.

According to the sheriff, the deputy is expected to be OK and the K-9 is at the emergency vet clinic.

The intersection of Logan Street and Buford Street is closed.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
