NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Principal of North Charleston High School is stepping down. Bob Grimm submitted his resignation on Monday, August 22, which is immediately effective, according to a press release sent out by Charleston County School District (CCSD).

Grimm requested to be released from his contract due to urgent family health matters, which require him to relocate to Ohio. Grimm apologized to his staff at North Charleston High School for the inconvenience of his departure so quickly into the school year.

Charles Benton, who currently works in the District Office, will be temporarily reassigned to assist at North Charleston High School while the District finds someone to fill the position.
