One person has been transported to a local hospital following an accident involving a train.

North Charleston Police officials say on Friday, July 17 at 9:10pm, officers responded to Jett Park Rd and Ward Ave in reference to a train that hit a vehicle.

We’re told the male driver has minor injuries and his vehicle has minor damage.

We’re learning from Charleston County Dispatchers that in addition to North Charleston Police Department, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, North Charleston Fire and Charleston County EMS all responded to the scene.
