Pedestrian killed following wreck in Orangeburg County


ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Orangeburg County.

Troopers say on Wednesday, November 23 at 6 p.m., the driver of a 2013 Dodge Avenger was traveling west on SC 210, near Bowman, when the car struck a pedestrian in the road. The avenger then went off the right shoulder and into a field.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. We are working to learn the identity of the victim from the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Dodge Avenger, Kadeem Neals of Bowman, was airlifted to Palmetto Health Richland with serious injuries.
