Person pistol whipped, car stolen following drug deal in North Charleston


NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Authorities are investigating a carjacking after a drug deal reportedly went wrong.

According to police spokesman Spencer Pryor, just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, officers responded to Fairwind Apartments in reference to the incident.

We’re told officers met with the two people who said they set up a deal to buy marijuana from the suspect. The person then approached the passenger side of the vehicle with a gun and pistol whipped the passenger as the driver fled from the vehicle.

The suspect stole the car and construction tools that were inside.

The vehicle was later located on Tyler Street.
