Police identify suspect in downtown Charleston shooting

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) —  The Charleston Police Department is currently searching for the man who they say is responsible for a shooting in downtown Charleston.

Mark Lee Frasier, 24 is wanted for attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

On Thursday, April 17 at 11 a.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Birdie Garrett in reference to a shooting. We’re told a male was shot in the arm. Medics transported him to the Medical University Hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Frasier is described as an African-American man, standing at 5’11 and weighing 175 pounds.  He also has black hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous.
