Research shows your stress may affect your dog

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The stress that you bring home everyday may be affecting your puppy.

Swedish researchers followed 58 dogs and their owners for a year and discovered that when the cortisol, your body’s main stress hormone, levels were elevated in the owners then they were also elevated in their dogs, especially the females.

They also found that the personality of the owner mattered. Dogs tended to be more stressed if their owner was more open and conscientious.
