Three Lowcountry restaurants have a C on the front door this week, but these are the situations where you need to read beyond the sticker on the door. All three scored better than 90% on their inspection.
Shem Creek Bar and Grill – C: A follow-up inspection on March 14 resulted in the lower grade.
The inspector filed a report that scored the restaurant at 92%. However, because violations that were not corrected after the routine inspection, the grade dropped again.
Graze (Mt. Pleasant) – C: Graze scored a 95% during a follow-up inspection, but proper cooling time and temperatures, cooling methods, and baseboards that the restaurant is working to repair caused the downgrade.
Yobo Cantina – C: Same story at Yobo Cantina. The inspector graded out the inspection at better than 90%, but a consecutive cold holding temperature violation dropped their grade.
