Roller Hockey Tournament planned to raise funds for local teen


NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Roller hockey is the most popular extra-curricular sport in South Carolina but those players who do participate, stick together when times are tough.

James Parker is described by his teammates as “one of the most devoted roller hockey players in North Charleston’s ROller hockey group.”

Parker’s 14-year-old son, Joshua, is battling leukemia and with the holidays approaching, the team wanted to do something to lift the financial burden on the family so they planned a fundraiser, a 3v3 round-robin roller hockey tournament.

WHERE: North Charleston Rec Center at Danny Jones Park – 1455 Monitor St, North Charleston, SC 29405

WHEN: Saturday, December 10 at 11am

COST: $30 entry fee per team

HOW TO ENTER: Email to reserve a spot.

Homemade BBQ, baked goods, prize drawings and a 1st place prize for the winning team.
