Second Berkeley County warming center to open Thursday night


SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCBD) – With temperatures expected to be below freezing Thursday night, Berkeley County’s Emergency Preparedness Department announced will open a second warming center.

Fresh Anointing Ministries, on Myers Road, will open from 7 p.m. Thursday night until 7 a.m. Friday morning. The warming center will provide a hot meal for dinner, a bed for the evening, and breakfast.

Should the public have any questions about the warming center or would like to volunteer at the warming center, they are asked to call Terry or Turner at Fresh Anointing Ministries at 843-771-4778.

t Goose Creek United Methodist Church will also continue to serve as a warming center Thursday night.
