Education Overhaul Bill moves forward in South Carolina Senate

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – Some education changes are being made in South Carolina’s upstate.

An Education Overhaul Bill is moving forward in the state senate.

It includes a provision that requires teachers to work an extra five days a year as long as lawmakers find the money to pay for it.

The bill also looks at issues such as standardized tests and how schools are operated.
