COLUMBIA, SC (WCBD) – Governor Henry McMaster will deliver his State of the State address from the South Carolina Statehouse.
Gov. McMaster, who is serving his first full-term, has made education and tax reform his top priorities.
In fact, when he unveiled his executive budget, he proposed tax rebates for South Carolinians.
This speech is also an opportunity for the Governor to outline his blueprint for the state and highlight some of the success he’s had so far.
Since being in office, the state has seen more than $5 billion in economic investments and the creation of tens of thousands of jobs.
Tonight, we should hear a little more on how the governor plans to achieve the proposals he has in store.
Senator John Scott from Richland County will deliver the Democrat’s response immediately following the State of the State address.
