COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – U.S. Senate candidate Jaime Harrison will hold a ‘Get Out the Vote’ drive-in concert Monday in Columbia.
Harrison, who is the Democratic challenger against incumbent Sen. Lindsey Graham, will be joined by rapper Common and Moncks Corner native, Charlamagne tha God, who will emcee the socially distanced event.
There is a limit of four people per car and everyone must wear a mask at Monday night’s event, which will take place at Benedict College.
Harrison and Common will also tour Columbia before attending the drive-in concert.
The U.S. Senate candidate hosted a weekend drive-in rally in the Pee Dee.
People stayed in their car while listening to Harrison speak about broadband and healthcare at Wilson High School in Florence.
When it came to the campaign against Sen. Graham, Harrison said it’s time for change.
“I’m going to fight to make sure that we rebuild and revitalize rural communities in South Carolina. We’re going to improve education in this state. We’re going to make sure we keep our hospitals open.”
Polls show it’s a tight race between Harrison and Graham in South Carolina.
