A dramatic water rescue happened in Simpsonville, south carolina Tuesday afternoon. So, “whooo” was rescued?
Turns out, it was an owl that managed to get itself tangled up in a wire over the Reedy river.
The owl in distress was spotted by a kayaker, according to a Facebook post. And it’s believed the bird was was trapped and hanging from one wing for about 12 hours.
The call went out over social media asking for help, and soon, volunteers with “Wild at Heart wildlife rescue” headed to the scene.
Using nets, they managed to get the barred owl to the shore. At last check, the owl was getting fluids in case of dehydration and was being checked for injuries.
