CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – South Carolina is the second loneliest state in the country, according to a recent report from Move.org.
That report analyzed census data on unmarried people aged 20 and older in each state, and a “loneliness index” based on data from Google.
It found nearly 49-percent of South Carolinians 20 and older are single.
The report says the Palmetto State’s most searched term was “I’m lonely.”
The District of Columbia ranked #1, followed by South Carolina as #2 and Arizona at #3.
