SCANA ends internal investigation into failed nuclear reactor project

South Carolina News

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) – SCANA’s internal investigation into the failed nuclear reactors north of Columbia has come to an end.

The State Newspaper reports SCE&G’s parent company disbanded that investigation earlier this year.

The investigation started in June of 2018 when SCANA announced it hired two new board members to investigate allegations against board members and top executives outline in lawsuits.

It was in response to the failed nuclear project at the V.C. Summer facility in Fairfield County.

The fallout from that failed forced SCANA to sell the company to Virginia-based utility, Dominion Energy.
