CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Officials with the South Carolina Department of Transportation hope to make travel a little easier during Memorial Day Weekend.
They plan to suspend non-emergency road work on interstates from six o’clock this Friday morning until six o’clock next Tuesday morning.
Even though crews will not be out, there are several work zones in place across the state and drivers are urged to drive carefully through those areas.
Motorists can also get real-time traffic updates through SCDOT’s 511 system.
