Study: Spending time in nature may reduce stress levels

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA)– We know being the outdoors is good for you, but how does it impact your well-being?

A study published in the journal “Frontiers in Psychology,” found spending 20 to 30 minutes in nature each day can significantly improve your mental health.

Researchers found the hormone which produces stress, cortisol, dropped in participants who took time to relax somewhere green and bright.
