Upstate card game ends in stabbing, report says

ANDERSON, S.C. (WSPA) — A woman told police she stabbed a man in self-defense after inviting him and others to her Anderson apartment for card games and drinks. 

Anderson police responded to the stabbing early Friday morning at Belton Wood Apartments on Howard Lane. 

Officers found a 30-year-old man “bleeding profusely” from three stab wounds to his back and chest, according to a police report.

The victim was taken to a hospital. 

His medical condition was not immediately known. The report says his wounds are not life-threatening.

The woman accused of stabbing him was reportedly released from custody. 

Her 3-year-old child was also home at the time of the stabbing. According to the report, the child was not hurt.
