SPARTANBURG Co., SC (WSPA) – A woman is accused of breaking in the door of a home and cutting a man with a razor blade, according to a report from Spartanburg Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they responded to a home in the 100 block of Marie Dr. on Jan. 19 in reference to a domestic disturbance with weapons.

When they got there, a woman said she was lying on her couch when Chasity West kicked in the door.

She said West was holding a razor blade in her hand and was loudly asking where a man was before she went to one of the bedrooms where the man had stayed in previously.

The woman said she called 911 when West went into a bedroom where the woman’s daughter stays and heard a loud argument.

The daughter said she was sitting in her room with the man when West came at her with the razor blade.

The man jumped in front of the daughter and tried to stop West from hurting her.

The man tried to get the razor away from West and was cut on his neck near his carotid artery during the fight, according to the report.

The man was able to get the razor away from West and she left.

The deputy said there was a significant amount of blood on the bed and the man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The report said West was trespassed from the home on 11/26/2018.

The man told deputies that he and West had previously lived together, but were never married and didn’t have any children.
