UPDATE: missing 15-year-old found safe after Amber Alert

An Amber Alert that was issued for a missing teen in Georgia has ended. 15-year-old Calah Waskow is safe and the man who was with her was arrested. She and Jason Johnson were located in Sevierville, Tennessee.

A man there spotted them and called police. Waskow was taken to an emergency room to be evaluated. Deputies in Columbia County, Georgia were looking for Johnson who was wanted on child molestation charges and they say he kidnapped Waskow.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCBD) — The South Carolina Alert has been cancelled at the request of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia. Subject and victim have not been located at this time.

On Thursday, December 8th, the SC Law Enforcement Division has released an amber alert for a 15-year-old abducted from Evans, Georgia earlier this week.

Authorities say Calah Noel Waskow was reported missing December 4.

She is described as white female, weighing 98 pounds, standing at 5’4″. She has blonde shoulder length hair.

State law officials say she was taken by Jason Arlis Johnson, 37, and is believed to be in extreme danger.

He is described as a white male, standing at 5’8″, weighing 175 pounds. Officers say he may have shaved his head.

Johnson may be driving a tan Crown Victoria with SC license plate KVJ240.
