West Ashley CVS back open following reported robbery


CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Authorities are currently responding to a reported robbery in West Ashley at 2152 Savannah Highway  just before 4 a.m. Friday morning

According to the Charleston Police Department an employee said the store was robbed by a man at gunpoint. The suspect entered the store with the gun drawn , demanded money from the register and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. No other items were stolen and  there were no reported injuries.

Assisting units canvassed  the area but were unable to locate  any suspects matching the description. A K-9 unit with Charleston County Sheriff’s Office attempted to track the suspect without results.
