NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders will make a stop in the Lowcountry this week.

This will be Sander’s first stop in the Palmetto State since launching his presidential campaign last month.

Sanders last visited South Carolina in January to honor the life and unfinished work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., when he spoke at the NAACP South Carolina State Conference’s annual King Day at the Dome.

He also attended various community events throughout the state during that trip.

A rally will be held Thursday, March 14th at the Royal Family Life Center Basketball Gymnasium (4750 Abraham Street, North Charleston, South Carolina 29405) at 7:00 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public. While tickets are not required, an RSVP is encouraged. Entry to the event is based on a first come, first serve basis.
