Bulldogs lose by one point in overtime

The Chattanooga Mocs beat the Citadel Saturday night 29-28 in overtime.

For the second game in a row the Citadel Bulldogs started out with a pretty big deficit, but once again fought back to stay in and potentially win the game.

The dogs were down 14-0 before quarterback Jordan Black had a 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Not long after, UTC scored again to make it 21-7. Right after, Black had a 25-yard touchdown pass to Grant Drakeford.

Lorenzo Ward tied the game up in the third quarter.

Tied at 21, the game went to overtime where the Citadel took the lead thanks to another Jordan Black touchdown run. 

The Mocs scored on their possession, went for two and won it 29-28.

Saturday night’s game was a grind, the Bulldogs did it on the ground with 290 yards rushing, and the Mocs got it done through the air with 347 yards passing.

The Bulldogs are 0-2 in the Southern Conference after the loss. Next week they host Charleston Southern.
