Kharynton Beggs a finalist in First Tee essay contest

Here in the Lowcountry one young lady has worked very hard and received quite the honor.

The First Tee of Greater Charleston’s Kharyton Beggs is a finalist in an essay contest, but not just any contest. She was one of 4 national winners, that’s out of thousands of entries.

The essay topic was focused on “go-to teams” meaning people in your life that you can go to for advice. You build up a go-to team around you, and as far as go-to teams go, Kharynton is proud of more than just writing a winning essay.

Kharynton Beggs said, “I’m really proud of myself for being able to be a support for someone else and to like know how to build this go-to team and how to use them in a successful way, and not just asking them random stuff, but really like using them, and having them really support me when I need them the most, and I think that’s so beneficial, and some people don’t know how to do that, so I feel pretty proud that I can. I know how to do this. I know how to network and I know how to communicate.”

Kharynton couldn’t say enough about her love for the First Tee of Greater Charleston.

This weekend she’ll be at the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte for a VIP experience.
