Olympic athlete, Lindsey Vonn, crashes during Super-G World Championships


SWEDEN – One week after announcing retirement, U.S. skier and Olympic gold medalist, Lindsey Vonn crashed in the Super-G World Championships Tuesday morning, straddling a gate midair.

Vonn hit a gate early in the course, ending up in safety nets.

The 34-year-old was back on her feet after being attended to by medical personnel.

The final race of her career, in the downhill, is Sunday.

Vonn has six career downhill medals in the Olympics and World Championships, including Olympic gold in 2010 and a World Championship in 2009.
