COLUMBIA, S.C. (September 4, 2018) – After a convincing 49-15 rout of Coastal Carolina, the South Carolina football team moved into the top-25 in both the Associated Press and Coaches’ Polls, announced today.

The Gamecocks checked in at No. 24 in both major polls. It marked the first time that the Gamecocks had been ranked in the AP poll since September of 2014.

The Gamecocks (1-0, 0-0 SEC) will host No. 3/3 Georgia (1-0, 0-0 SEC) on Saturday, September 8. The 3:30 pm contest, which will be televised nationally by CBS, is a sellout.
