Dorchester Co. will have sandbags, sand available for Self-Fill

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – After distributing 15,000 filled sandbags, Dorchester County is providing an additional 50 tons of sand for self-fill. 

Beginning at 1:00 p.m., September 12, sandbags and sand will be available at the below locations, according to spokesperson Tiffany Norton. Citizens must bring their own shovel and fill their own bags. Bags should only be filled 2/3 of the way full, to be effective, Norton added.

There will be a limit of 10 sandbags per household.
