Lyft offering free rides up to $15 in S.C. ahead of Hurricane Florence impact

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - In response to Hurricane Florence, Lyft is committed to doing our part to help those in need, according to the blog on Lyft's official website.  

They are donating $25,000 to a Relief Rides program helping those in need move around before the hurricane, as well as partnering with United Way’s 2-1-1 program, officials added.

In North Carolina and South Carolina, we’re partnering with United Way’s 2-1-1 program, where those evacuating can dial 2-1-1 and receive a ride code for free transportation, up to $15, according to officials

Valid between now and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, officials added.

With safety as our number one priority, we continue to monitor the conditions and communicate with Lyft drivers, passengers, and government officials, according to the blog on Lyft's website.
