Williamsburg residents hope the worst of Florence is behind them

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. - In Williamsburg County, Florence continues to impact the area with flooding and downed power lines, but many tell us, it's not as bad as they thought it would be.

"We lost power about 5:00pm yesterday afternoon. It started picking up. It got pretty breezy. It has been just mostly rain. A few leaks here and there." For a resident in the area, Josh Kellahan, Florence has really been more of an annoyance than anything else. "We've got a back up diesel generator that kicks in when the power goes out." He tells us, that happened several times, with the power going out about 3 times.

Communities near the Black River begins to flood first. But the good news is, even those areas aren't seeing much and have flooded much worse in the past.

Those in Williamsburg County hoping the worst part of Florence is now behind them.
